Youth Digital Changemakers is a hands-on programme for 16–24 year olds in Scarborough, where you solve real digital problems for local community organisations. Instead of boring lectures or homework, you learn by doing — working on live projects using simple project management (goals, timelines, deliverables) in a fun, collaborative way.
Choose what you want to focus on: web development, graphic design, digital marketing, podcasting, content creation, or AI tools. You’ll plan, create, meet deadlines, and present your work to real clients — building a portfolio, gaining job-ready skills, making real community impact, and finishing with a certificate and industry connections.
WHO IS IT FOR
This is for you if you’re 16–24 and you want:

We're incredibly proud to share that ConnectEd Scarborough CIC attended the Community & Place Committee meeting this afternoon for a community grant consideration - and we brought along one of our amazing Youth Digital Changemakers, Jake!
Jake stepped up to talk about his groups project idea and how they plan to use the digital skills they've developed through our programme to bring this new project to life. Watching our young people grow in confidence and take the lead on community projects is exactly why we do what we do.
It was lovely to see the team from Scarborough and District Mencap there to present to the committee too
Now we wait to hear if we've been successful, but regardless of the outcome, today was a WIN. Jake showed up, spoke up, and represented what Youth Digital Changemakers is all about - young people with vision, skills, and determination to make a difference in their community
